Have You Ever Had Your ID Stolen?

When my husband Mills and I were first married, we went to Home Depot to buy a new lawnmower. The man asked us if we wanted to apply for credit which I immediately said, “Yes!” I wanted to apply as husband and wife for the very first time. Unfortunately we were denied. We discovered later that someone had stolen Mills’ ID and ran up credit cards in his name.

In this day of technology and advancement, it seems that more and more people get their identity stolen.  Someone may try to get your identity to set up fake accounts in order to take what is yours.

Some people think their identity isn’t worth anything because their credit score is too low or their cards are maxed out.

Whatever the case may be, there is also an evil one who wants to rob us of our identity. The enemy of our soul knows better than we do who we are in Christ Jesus. He wants our identity so that we don’t discover who we are in the Lord and the power we now carry as followers of Christ.

When we believe what Heaven has declared over us, there is no way we can live the same. We will live as Jesus lived: walking around healing people, speaking life to others, changing atmospheres, loving everyone, setting the captives free, casting out demons and seeing the dead raised in the name of Jesus and all to the glory of the Father.

You bet there is someone after your identity. You’re not just a son or daughter now, you’re a king and a priest! You’re chosen by God almighty!

Brothers and sisters in Christ, let’s rise up and take dominion in the name of Jesus like we are supposed to. You are a holy people, a royal priesthood. You are a child of the King!

Straighten your crown!

Blessings!
